On August 23, 2026, the renovated mausoleum was inaugurated in the presence of Dr. Henk van Iterson, great-grandson of the person interred there; Romani Rose, Chairman of the Central Council of German Sinti and Roma; Dr. Alexander Vogt, Mayor of the City of Halle (Saale); Jan Riedel, Minister of Education for Saxony-Anhalt, and many visitors from Halle and numerous other locations.
